::Everyone should be wondering now, which idiot would blog at 2.45am in the morning?? well... im that idiot.. haha... just mugged finish some of the stuff though i didnt finish what i had planned earlier ago ( thx fran!! for that sms =P)... There's simply nt enough time to mug all 4 subjects b4 midyears... Guess i was over-confident when i said 2 weeks was sufficient to mug for mid years.. totally regret it... argh... oh well...For this week, im mugging pretty hard as compared to the past 3 weeks.. have been chiong chem exam papers in hope to get my first A in my JC life... haha.. damn pathetic sia... nv get A before in JC... damn shame...

Anyway...last week was really interesting as it was the king's bday... haha.. there's shaun, guohui, wee, fran, guojie, yumi , he, timo, me and most imptly, the king... So me and guojie planned to meet up at marina sq at 9.30am to mug( i think).. haha.. ended up both of us were late la... so i guess we started mugging from 10.30 to 1 pm... den me and guojie cannot take it already.. so we went to shop for the king's present.. During the entire process, both me and guojie jux couldn't help it but look for clothes for ourselves.. anyway.. we ended up buying a shirt for the king...Guess everyone really did enjoy themselves and it was pretty like the 1st 3 mths last year (brings back happy memories) especially when we started slacking at the roof of esplanade.. lol.. The guys, include me ended up disturbing couples... kinda fun...

anyway.. back to reality... mid years are coming within 1 week and i have barely finish studying chem and maths... guess i'll have to push myself harder for the coming 6 days... btw...if you are J2.. WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??? GO MUG!!! =D::

::1st blog during the holidays...wow... ppl always say that students have more time during holidays.. I believe that's an assumption... Since the start of the holidays until now, i hardly had enough time to study at all.... The whole of first week was ocuppied by school lectures and I had a hospital attachment during Monday and tues of the 2nd week...

The hospital attachment wasn't really what i expected... From wad i hear from agnes and amanda(i think) from their experiences for hospital attachment, i was utterly disappointed with my attachment... We were attached to the rehabilation centre where therapist help elderly patients to excerise so that they help improve certain muscles of the body. However, for the whole of 2 days, we spent most of the time stoning and we hardly learn anything... Boring experiences...

I think one of the most interesting thing i did in the holidays so far would be the building of the largest structure using packet drinks... I became the nightguard on friday nite together wid nigel, he, ernest, guojie, king and timo (thnx for asking me along)... I wouldn't say the night was interesting since the fact was everyone was mugging there ( haha... fran.. who say we can't mug overnight?? =P).. But i got to admit it was a good experience and for the fact that i had more time wid my frens in s39.... haven't been seeing them around for a long time.... Anyway... me and guojie was so tired that we were able to slp on the stage... Anyway... saturday was really fun... the 7 of us together with yumi, fran, wee, gh, jess, agnes, esther, amanda and zoe were building the house from about 10am... It was quite fun building the house as there was a sense of acheivement.. haha... But everyone hates the part where we nid to seek ppl to donate... Anyway, i got to thank gj for making the event less uninteresting.. haha.. Thank you gj... The event was quite addicitive since me and wilson chiong for 2 shifts and we both ended up helping out until about 9pm at night... The afternoon sun was really hot and me and wil couldn't take it.. Really have to appluse the bunch that continued doing even though the condition was torturous...

Oh.. and i really got to apologize to don because i can't give him any tuition for the next 3 weeks... sorry dude... but i got to concentrate on my exams as well...


The 2 weeks of holiday so far sparked much more colors in my life.. it's been a long time since i met up with the vj bunch... haha... guess for the next 2 weeks, it's really time to sit down and concentrate on my studies::

Yup... we engineered a modified steam distillation to suit our project... My blood and sweat sia.... At least it didnt disappoint me. It appears that the extract has greater killing power on E. coli. Lol....Anyway... all of this is going to end on 27th may at NLB... sia la... btw.... we also engineered a product out... eh... evreyone help give comments of the design of the bottle so i can improve on it... thx!

::Sia la... the whole of last week was super destructive sia.... thankfully no one got killed though much injury was caused.

On monday, my grp intended to procee using steam distillation to extract eugenol from our clove.... with the limited knowledge, we modified the steam distillation with the equipments we took from the chem lab... lol... there was this pathetic condenser, 2 round bottom flask and many other stuff... anyway... we set up the entire system and started it.... got to admit.. it was really bad... the solution from the 2nd round flask kept entering the 1st round flask and the stoppers were all popping away... Being naive... me and zhiwen went to force the stopper there and we continued discussing the project... i think it continued for about 15 mins and we didn't even condense a drop of solution la.... den suddenly... "BOOM"... the stopper all jet out from the mouth of the flask, splashing all the hot clove solution on me and zhiwen... my injury was still minor la... zhiwen was even worst... his entire specs turned brown and his entire face was burnt with the solution.. i think the solution was definitly over 100 degree C because we heated the solution with non-luminous flame... lol... the entire lab was spray with clove solution...damn sad... ended up cleaning the lab for 1 hr... sian

Then comes wednesday.....zhiwen was off for his h3 exams, leaving me and yide in the lab... we kinda figured out that the condenser was too small to condense any shit (come on, the length was only about 10cm long)... so we modified it using a rotary evaporator.... at last some stuff was being condense and we were extremely happy there was oil in there since eugenol is a type of oil... but the system was pretty unstable also.. so comes thursday... the chem lab assistant was exetremely helpful... they gave us 1 whole set of brand new glassware together with a new rotary evaporator... we gonno make stuff that is consumable so got to get all new... no choice...
So as usual... we headed to the lab to do our experiment.... using the bunsen burner, we heated the 2 flask.... haha... everything went smoothly until sudden clove solution started pouring out of the conical flask... Sia la... we started yelling at yide to swith off the bunsen burner den he super obedient sia... the solution so hot den he still chiong thru the solution to switch off the bunsen burner... he also got burned on his hands... anyway... guess wad.... the flame was so strong that the conical flask cracked sia... wth la... and i thot these conical flask are all used for heating... lousy IWAKI brand... make the conical flask so weak... haha... So officially, the entire group got injured in the experiment.. zai sia...

anyway... rainy days are over already.. haha.. since we used the heating mantle to heat the 2 solutions, the entire system was super stable... got to admit.. we are proud of our modified steam distillation... although we kinda sacrificed ourselves for the system..... gonno post a pic on our system so everyone can take a look...

perhaps it's the flu season or something.. haha.. everyone around me is sick sia... including me too =)... lol.. i shall repeat wad ying chern (welfare mama) always say in the past- shit.. i forgot wad she always say... lol... straight to the point... everyone who are sick... take care of urselves.. drink more water... sleep more... but dun study less =P::

::lol... does all j2 feels dis way?? or issit jux me and my friends around me?? everyone jux seems so emo and pretty bored out.... same here as well..... no more outings like last year... and also the "class sprit" kinda disappeared too...i guess everyone knows about it but no one wanna do a thing... who wants to?? with A level coming along and syf... most of my frens and me dun even have enough time to slp.... let alone going out... dats y ppl say J2 is the toughest year during one's education... i supposed it's true...

Failing since the start of JC1 kinda lower my confidence in my studies... when i was in sec school... i was confident of my studies, at least when i studied for it, sometimes too confident.. but it has only been a short 2 years that kinda changed me entirely. Everytime i attempt any questions, be it maths econs chem or bio, even if i have studied for it, i always feel that i jux can't do it... Things aren't getting right these days... i can sit and mug for 6 hours and at the end of it... i just feel that nothing gets into my brains...

Anyway.. i went for aj idol and honestly i felt that it wasted my time... i supposed those who went also agreed with me... budden i didnt reget going cause after the thing i ate dinner with s39 bunch... it's been a really long time since i've seen them.. let alone eat with them... haha.. as usual... ernest with his lame jokes spiced up the atmosphere.. Even though we were so pathetic that we got to buy subway and head towards a pathway and sit there in circles to eat our dinner... haha.. but i really have enjoyed it.. lol... who knows when is the next time im gonno see them again...

Down with a cough, sore throat and runny nose the day jux b4 labour day... bad timing....actually i kinda deserved it too... on aj idol.. my throat started to felt uncomfortable already.. den we went to subway to bought cookies and burgers. Arghhh... when everyone was saying the cookie was nice to eat... i couldn't maintain and also chiong for one.. so now here i am... trying to type out what i wanted to say for the past few days cause i hardly have any voice at all...

anyway.. to all J2s... mug hard... it's gonno last for another 7 to 8 months and it will soon be over in no time =)::
